Burlington Locals Volunteer at Daycare Olympics
Burlington, NC - Lifespan held its 2nd annual Summer Olympics for their students on Wednesday, August 6th, 2008. Members of the local community came out to show their support.
Volunteers included NAA staff members, Biscuitville employees, Mayor Ronnie Wall of Burlington, NC, Mayor Leonard Williams of Gibsonville, NC, participants from the city of Burlington Police and Fire Departments, parents, and friends. The volunteers helped the children move from station to station as they participated in various activities, including miniature golf, football, a puppet show, plinko, and the bean bag toss. The children also enjoyed touring a police car and fire truck.
At the end of the events, each child was given a medal of achievement for their excellence and hard work.
