George and Penny Wilson know that the NAA business works if you do! The Wilson?s spent 15 years owning their own business in the Real Estate Industry which specialized in foreclosures, as well as refurbishing and selling homes to first time buyers in Florida. The Wilsons created a good income until the hurricanes. Soon after, they struggled to find a career or industry to replace that income.
Penny was working in the real estate market trying to establish a mortgage business when one of the leaders of the company, Diane Lampe, suddenly left. Curious, Penny wanted to know where she had gone and why: "I went to a business opportunity meeting about NAA at their office and immediately went online to get an insurance license."
The Wilson?s joined NAA knowing that they could make a good living, whether they chose to recruit or not.
"Now my wife and I work together," says George. "Penny and I had been working together for 15 years, once we lost that, our family did not have the closeness and support in place that we enjoyed for so many years."
George and Penny enjoy helping change other families? lives for the better: "Seeing our agents become successful, mentoring others, bringing other people into the business and giving them a way to change their circumstances is the best part about NAA."
The Wilson?s attribute their success with NAA to commitment. They believe in the vision and in their team with Bill and Diane Lampe.
"George drove 15 hours to his very first appointment with his leads. Bill told him that where families needed to be protected was in Wisconsin but we lived in Texas. George drove there and saw families for 10 days and wrote about $23K in production as a brand new rookie agent! That cemented our belief in the process and the company. We could see how quickly our situation was going to change."
George and Penny find NAA to be a rewarding career emotionally. "We protect families. It?s rewarding financially. You set your own pay scale and promotions based on your achievements. No one is placing a value on your efforts but yourself."
George and Penny have two children named Jaryd and Jake. Through NAA, they have been able to buy matching motorcycles for dad and son.
George remembers going on an appointment and sitting with a couple. The husband was showing him his massive new TV that he had stood in line for hours to get. "He was so proud of saving so much on it and he worked so hard to get it. He was my first death claim. Then his wife passed away from a broken heart only weeks later. Their family had protection because of me. That?s why we do this business."
"Our goals are far beyond our success to date. We are still in the trenches every day trying to be the best we can be and growing a team."
