As a successful businessman, Gerald Brubaker knows how take risks but after a dip in the economy he found that NAA gave him more options for success! Born in Dayton, OH, Gerald studied business at Sinclair Community College but did not complete the degree. He then owned Real Estate developments, construction, and property management companies. His businesses were successful, but they eventually went south due to the economy.

In March of 2006, Gerald was working with a mortgage protection company when Anthony, his now upline manager, recruited him. "Anthony Montebon went on an appointment (that my brother Darren had already been on); found the clients were covered with another agent. He got Darren's number and immediately called after leaving the clients' home. Darren then referred Anthony to me since I had recruited him. I was not really looking for another position, but decided to take a look at it. I was extremely busy and set the appointment to meet with Anthony at 11p.m., thinking I could blow him off. When he said he would meet then, I thought if he is going to meet me at 11p.m. on a Saturday, I will meet him. The rest is history!"

Gerald's decision in joining NAA is knowing that he can impact his financial life as well as a multitude of others in life-changing ways. Gerald enjoys the solid leadership, ownership, and opportunities of NAA.

He advises new agents to simply focus. "Keep it simple! Keep it focused! You can do more than you ever thought possible, if you simply focus!"

Gerald remembers one appointment where he knew how rewarding his job was. "After multiple attempts I reached the client, after multiple appointments set, I sat with the client. I wrote protection with return, but due to circumstances, the client was rated at just over $1,100 monthly. After multiple attempts, I reached the client to deliver the policy, but then had to reschedule to deliver it. Once I saw the client, they were very happy in how persistent I was to get their family protected!"

In the next 5 years, Gerald will be able to support 20 agency managers in the Brubaker Company Master Agency, have more time to travel the world with family and friends and have the ability to give back to foundations.

Gerald and his wife, Mindy have two children, Destiny and Dawson. His family enjoys spending vacations in Colorado and in the near future, traveling around the world.

With his freedom, Gerald now spends his time focusing on the macro, instead of the micro!
