Born and raised in Alabama, Mark Stough remains close to his roots. His agency, based in Alabama, is a consistent presence on both the production and recruiting leader boards. As far as Mark is concerned, "The sky is the limit!" His commitment to helping more of his agents build their own agencies and helping his existing agency managers grow bigger and achieve their personal goals is unsurpassed. Mark graduated from Auburn University with a Bachelor's Degree in Textile Engineering. After receiving his diploma, he worked as a textile engineer and a car salesman. "I was selling cars and probably working 70 plus hours a week." Then he heard about an amazing opportunity with a newly founded company: NAA.
Initially, Mark's wife Trish was against his decision to sell insurance because it was "commission only" and she did not want to forfeit a guaranteed income. "She was scared. Now, she has left her old job and loves helping in the office."
Joining NAA at the beginning of the company's formation, Mark quickly developed an unwavering faith in the company's leaders. He firmly believes that they "want to see everybody else in the organization succeed and are always there to help guide you in the right direction. Phillip, Barry, and Andy take the time to listen to you and help resolve any problems that arise or just give you a mental boost if you need it." Mark and Trish are "enjoying the lifestyle that Phillip, Barry, and Andy told us we would have when NAA was first started". More importantly, Mark and Trish have been able to build their own agency from the ground up. "Trish and I have met wonderful people who aren't just 'agents in my downline'. And the employees in our office are good friends that we never would have met if it wasn't for NAA."
Attributing his success to following the NAA sales system, Mark holds fast to the memories of his past jobs. "Even if things don't go my way, I am still better off than I was before." He considers himself blessed to have discovered some really great agents, office staff and "people within NAA who share similar goals and dreams".
Mark advises each of his agents to keep a positive attitude, because he knows it will give them the opportunity for tremendous success; success he has definitely achieved. Mark also encourages all of his agents to go to the NAA National Convention and "TAKE YOUR SPOUSE!" He knows the amazing success stories of the husband and wife teams currently breaking out at NAA. He and Trish are proof that working together can strengthen the business and help carry it to new levels of success.
Currently, Mark has one daughter, 26 year old Katherine. "Kat" and her husband Michael Parker are currently building their own NAA agency under Mark's guidance. Mark and Trish spend their free time "just about anywhere that is warm and has water". The couple love boating and riding their Wave Runners. As for their plans for the future, Mark is optimistic. He has learned not to make too many specific goals for himself because he finds that ?NAA constantly has new major opportunities that I have to re-evaluate and end up raising my goals within 3 months of setting them. The growth factor is unbelievable!!!" As are Mark and Trish!
