National Agents Alliance says “hola!” to Spanish-Speaking Market

Posted by admin on January 28, 2009

These days, it’s becoming more and more important to reach out to untapped markets. At National Agent’s Alliance®, we encourage our agents to contact overlooked families in order to give families the financial protection they need. One such market is the Spanish-speaking market. Spanish-speaking families have the same concerns and desire to protect their family, but often aren’t contacted because of language barriers.  In order to encourage agents to tap into this market, we’ve asked producers that have reached out to Spanish-speaking families and consistently provide protection to them. We hope these interviews will help inspire other agents to dip into these valuable markets!

What is your Key to success?
The ability to articulate with confidence in English and Spanish that I work for their “family’s benefit”

Do you approach Spanish-speaking families differently than English-speaking families? If so, how?
Yes, the only difference is, that I prefer to set an appointment or confirm an appointment with the Mr. on Spanish Speakers.

What are Spanish-market families looking for in protection?
Affordable protection with an Insurance Company that inspires ”confidence, comfort and extends coverage into their respective Countries of origin.

What’s the biggest wrong assumption about the Spanish market? How can other agents overcome it?
That all Hispanics come from Mexico and that this group is always on the “lower income” bracket. Never “assume” a person is Mexican just because of the last name.  Ask them “where are you from?”

Be confident in the knowledge that Hispanics need and will buy protection for their families when they “Like and Trust You.”

If an agent only speaks English, what would you suggest they do in order to tap into the Spanish-speaking market?
Ask to speak to a family member that speaks English or utilize a Spanish speaking acquaintance to set the appointment and interpret in the home.  Hire Spanish Speaking Agents.

What are your goals for 2009 in the Spanish-speaking market?
To develop a “Team” of Spanish Speaking Agents and “aggressive marketing” to this rapidly expanding population.

What does the National Agents Alliance® (NAA®)  opportunity mean for you and your family?
Unlimited Freedom and Income Potential while providing a very valuable service with Quality Products to American Families!
